The Podcast That Refuses to Fit in a Box: Club Eclectica.

Published on 27 October 2025 at 12:33

So here's the thing, there’s this podcast called Club Eclectica, hosted by Michael Hallinger (known to his friends as @tintinfellow on Instagram), it’s great if you like variety in your podcast listening. Each episode’s completely different, one week it might be about art or music, the next it’s about subcultures, fashion, or something really unexpected. Michael brings on guests who actually live what they’re talking about people who are experts, artists, collectors, or just fascinating and interesting people.

The tagline pretty much sums it up Michael says it’s “an eclectic mix of everything from style to art to films to comics to music and everything in between.” And that’s exactly what it is. There is a RSS feed* so there is no need to check if there are new posts.

It’s made through Acast and it’s already got a couple of seasons out. What I really like is that it doesn’t try to fit into one box it’s relaxed, chatty, and you always end up learning something random but interesting. If you enjoy hearing unusual stories and meeting people with creative or interesting lives, it’s definitely worth a listen. Now in its second series the podcast goes from strength to strength and the latest episodes from series two can be found here. The most recent airing is Episode 6 “The Stylish Stylist” (Mon 20 Oct 2025) which features one of my favourite people the inimitable Paul Stafford (@paulstafford1 on Instagram). All episodes avaialble on Apple podcast, Spotify and via the Acast website.
